Modding a PSP

Anyone know how hard this is? I have read the guides, but am more then a little confused.

Bane might be able to figure it out, does it involve any hardware modding?

Haven't looked into it a whole lot, but its just a bios flash isn't it? and it requires the older PSP's I thought, but I'm not real up on that scene.

There is a method that doesn't require an additional psp. You need to mod the battery first, which involves removing a pin. This creates a "Pandora Battery". Then you do some software stuff.

Its confusing.

I modded my PSP using a rented copy of GTA: Liberty City Stories. There was an exploit using the multiplayer that allowed the modders to upload a different firmware.

It was quite a while ago though. I just read through the instructions for the new mods and it looks like a pain but shouldn't be too difficult.
